TP, SS, and BotW Links don't have a magic meter so shouldn't be taking levels in hard magic classes. Similarly, only a handful of Links have a magic meter so levels in something like warlock or sorcerer would only be valid for one like ALttP, AoL, OoT and a few others. But no other Link turns into a wolf so that's only valid for TP Link.

Like it would be valid for TP Link to take a level in druid for the shape-shifting abilities. True but ultimately unhelpful because while the broad categories may be the same, the subcategories make them vastly different. That's kind of like saying 'a fighter is a fighter'.
